Playgroup
Getting there:
- Our venue is easy to find
- When you arrive in Murwillumbah you’re in Wollumbin Street as soon as you come off the bridge; we’re on the left, 2 doors down from the Services Club.
- Look for a yellow and black sign on the gate between the Martin Watt Christian Education Centre and the church.
Facilities:
- We have a great lawn area with shade and plenty of paths for children to ride tricycles.
- We have a large indoor area for rainy days.
What we do:
- We meet during school term weeks and break during the holidays.
- All children from birth to 5 years of age are welcome.
- Mums, Dads, Grandparents or Carers are welcome to attend with their child/children.
- Every 5 or 6 weeks we organize a “Mums night out” which varies from dinner out or in a private home to a craft time or pampering night. It’s open to the group to suggest ideas.
- We have organized craft/ painting/ play dough/ drawing activities and free indoor/outdoor play.
- Mums get plenty of time to chat and exchange ideas over a cup of tea/coffee.
- Morning tea is a “bring and share” healthy snacks and a drink for your child or children.
Cost:
- Membership of Playgroup NSW is
$32- for a full year
$25- July to December and
$2- per family per day
- Being affiliated with the Playgroup association means we are supported by them with organization, ideas for activities, some equipment, insurance, combined area/state events and every member receives the “Tot line” magazine quarterly.
Other:
- The church bookshop is housed in the front of the hall we use and some Mums find it a handy place for CDs, greeting cards etc.
